MAJOR RETAILER PULLS TRADING CARDS FROM SHELVES

With an uptick in interest in baseball cards and new basketball packs for sale, retailers have been having difficulty keeping up with demand. Target has long been at the forefront of sports card distribution, and has been known to implement restrictions, such as limiting the number of
for sale per customer. Their latest restriction? A temporary suspension of the sale of and Pokémon trading cards in all stores.

TARGET HALTS BASEBALL CARDS FOR SALE
So, what caused Target to suspend trading card sales? The restriction comes after a fight over trading cards for sale broke out at their Brookfield, Wisconsin store. Local police say the altercation ended after a man who had been attacked by four other individuals pulled out his gun. Out of an abundance of caution, Target made a decision at the corporate level to suspend all trading card sales. While this Wisconsin incident was the most severe fight Target experienced, the retailer has cited multiple fights over baseball cards for sale at locations around the country.
